DOG FRIENDLY?: Yes! Feel free to bring your dog if you would like (no registration required for them!) with them! As long as they get along with people and other dogs we don’t have a problem with them!
BEFORE THE RUN
Parking: There will be plenty of parking available at the start of the event. Look for a volunteer helping with parking.
Race Bibs: Before you begin the run make sure to pin your race number (bib) to your shorts or shirt.. Your bib has your disposable timing chip attached. Please don't fold, bend or remove the timing chip on the back of your bib. Make sure that you are wearing the bib that is assigned to you. The bib number will help us track your time. Plus it helps us recognize you as a registered participant in the run.
Restrooms: There are three portapottys at the start/finish and there is a bathroom in Rocheport for the marathon and 45 mile distances and one in Franklin for the long distance. There will also be three bathroom tents available throughout the long courses.
Weather: In case of inclement weather, the race of the run will be delayed until it is safe to do so. However, if it appears to be unsafe to run/walk for the duration of the morning, the race director reserves the right to cancel the race, and no refunds will be given.
DURING THE RUN
Course Maps: Check the route page for the course maps
Course Markings and Volunteers: There will be volunteers at some important areas of the course. There will also be arrows signs ao help direct you from start to finish. We are not posting mile markers on the course. I am sure most of you have those fancy odometer watches and such.
Run Right: Run against traffic if running on the road. If running on the sidewalk or multi-use trails, travel on the right and pass on the left. Never run more than two abreast if you are running in a group. If you are wearing a headset and listening to music during the run please be aware of your surroundings.
Aid Stations: There will be water/aid stations throughout the courses. We will have a self service water station around every 3 miles. These stations will have some gatorade and some power gels on the long courses. Be sure to bring your own gels as well to guarantee that you will have what you need! There will also be a roaming support vehicle and bicycles that will be services runners throughout the day. Just let them know if you need anything!
POST RUN
Race Bibs: The timing chips in the race bibs are disposable, once you cross the finish line you do not need to return them.
Food and Drink: We will have a bunch of beverages and some food. Hang out for a while!
